From product evidence to an executable plan

A practical method for turning research fragments, customer signals, and product decisions into an evidence-linked plan agents can execute.

Scattered product evidence resolving into an ordered delivery path

Evidence becomes useful when every delivery decision retains its source.

Product evidence arrives in fragments: an interview quote, a support pattern, a metric shift, or an engineering constraint. A plan becomes reliable only when those fragments retain a visible relationship to the work they create.

This guide describes a compact workflow for moving from evidence to execution without flattening the reasoning in between.

Start with claims, not summaries

Capture the specific claim each source supports. A broad research summary is difficult for an agent to apply. A bounded claim with a source, owner, and confidence level can be tested against a decision.

Conflicting claims should remain visible. Removing disagreement from the record makes the plan look cleaner while making execution less reliable.

Turn decisions into traceable constraints

Every significant product decision should point back to the evidence and constraints that shaped it. This creates an audit trail instead of a collection of disconnected requirements.

An agent can then distinguish a deliberate constraint from an accidental omission and ask a precise question when the trace is incomplete.

Define an executable boundary

A production-ready plan names the expected outcome, the surfaces in scope, the constraints that cannot move, and the evidence required for validation.

The objective is not to write more. It is to make every line usable by the next human or agent without another translation step.
